I didn't want to, but I'm glad that I did.

Yay, Dustin arrived safely from China on Friday afternoon. His sister Tiffany had called the day earlier to let me know that their cousin Billy, who they hadn't seen in about 25 years, was going to be in Seattle that weekend. They all wanted to get together for dinner Saturday night and to my surprise Dustin said he wanted to go no matter how jet lagged he was. I really didn't plan on going since I have been battling this nasty cold since last Tuesday, but Dustin said that he really wanted me to come with him and he was very persuasive. I decided to get out of bed, shower, and dope myself up on DayQuil so I could go. THEN I got a call from Tiffany saying that we would all meet at the Crab Pot in Seattle at 5:30. Ummmm...the Crab Pot??? I have seen pictures of people eating at that place and even the pictures turned my stomach. I am not a seafood lover, so the thought of them dumping a bucket of water creatures right onto the table where I had to eat just didn't sound very appetizing. I tried to back out of going but Dustin said I was being a baby...which I was, but I didn't feel good and...seafood...Ewe!! I reluctantly put a smile on my face and decided to go.
The weather was absolutely beautiful. Mt. Rainer looked close enough to touch! We were even able to see a beautiful sunset from the car. We took the back roads through Seattle so that he could show me K2 Corp, his place of business, as well as George Town, which I have never seen before. As you can see, I got to play with my camera too. : )

Dinner was not as bad as I had expected. I focused on the conversation rather than the seafood medley of crab legs, oysters, clams, and these big shrimp things with antenna's and eyes that covered our table. It was nice to meet his cousin, as well as catch up with other family that we hadn't seen in a long time.

It was a memorable night and I am grateful that I was a part of it, seafood and all.

Next time I vote we go to The Cheesecake Factory!
